Written from the video, not from a template
Add the video file or its YouTube link and the studio reads it once. The description is written from what actually happens in it, so the chapters fall at the video's own times rather than at round numbers.
Want something mentioned — a product, a link, a correction? Say it in one line and it is worked in. No video to hand? It writes from the title instead.
How it shows
Under every description, the studio checks it the way YouTube will read it.
- Above “…more”
- Whether the title's words are in the part that shows before a viewer expands it.
- Chapters
- Whether YouTube will show them: they must start at 0:00, there must be at least three, the times must go up, and they must be at least 10 seconds apart.
- Hashtags
- How many there are. Three is enough; past fifteen YouTube ignores them all.
Part of one package
The description goes into the video's package beside its title and thumbnail. Copy it straight into YouTube's upload page.
How it works
Add the video
The file or its YouTube link. Its title, if you have picked one, is used too.
Say what it should mention
Optional — one line is enough.
Check it, copy it
“How it shows” checks the opening, the chapters and the hashtags. Copy it, and it is saved in the package.
What you get
- A description written from your video
- Chapters at the video's own times
- A few hashtags that fit the video
- A check of what shows before “…more”, whether YouTube will show the chapters, and the hashtag count
- The description saved in the video's package, beside its title and thumbnail
- No cost to start — a free plan, no card
Who it is for
- Creators who leave the description for last and paste in the same block every time.
- Anyone whose chapters never show up on YouTube and does not know why.
Frequently asked questions
Is this YouTube description generator free?
Yes, on the free plan. You sign in with Google to start; there is no card.
Does it write timestamps and chapters?
Yes. When you add the video, the chapters are placed at the video's own times, and “How it shows” checks that YouTube will display them.
Why are my YouTube chapters not showing?
YouTube only shows chapters when the first starts at 0:00, there are at least three, the times go up, and each is at least 10 seconds long. The studio checks all four.
Can I tell it what to include?
Yes. Say what it should mention in one line before it writes — a product, a link, a correction.
Do I need a video?
No. Without one it writes from the title. With one, it writes from what is in the video, and that is where the chapters come from.
